Veterans: Your Care at Saber Tactical
Effective Date: 18APR2026
Saber Tactical Performance & Rehab is built for veterans, by a veteran. We understand the demands of service, the realities of transition, and the need for providers who respect your time, your privacy, and your mission.
This page explains exactly how veterans can access care, what’s covered through the VA, and how we support your readiness, recovery, and long‑term performance.
1. Veteran‑Centered Care
At Saber Tactical, you’re not just a patient — you’re a teammate.
We provide:
Evidence‑based physical therapy
Tactical‑specific rehabilitation
Strength & conditioning for military demands
Load carriage, rucking, and occupational performance training
Readiness grading and return‑to‑duty preparation
A private, OPSEC‑aligned environment
Our goal is simple:
Get you back to fighting shape — physically, mentally, and operationally.
2. VA Community Care Referrals
We proudly accept VA Community Care Network (CCN) referrals for physical therapy.
What VA referrals cover:
Physical therapy evaluation
Diagnosis
Treatment
Rehabilitation
Progress documentation
Communication with VA providers
Only the minimum necessary PHI required by the VA is included in HSRM submissions.
These services are fully covered once authorized — no copays, no out‑of‑pocket costs.
What VA referrals do NOT cover:
Performance Coaching
Hybrid Sessions
Dry Needling add‑ons (unless explicitly authorized)
Non‑medical readiness training
These remain self‑pay but can be added at any time.
Eligibility, authorization, and visit limits are determined solely by the VA and may vary based on VA policy.
3. How to Request Saber Tactical as Your Provider
During your VA appointment, simply say:
“I would like my Community Care referral sent to Saber Tactical Performance & Rehab.”
The VA provider or Community Care coordinator will:
Submit the referral
Generate an authorization
Send documentation through HSRM
Notify you when approved
Once authorized, we contact you directly to schedule.
4. What to Expect as a Veteran Client
A. Your First Visit
Tactical‑specific evaluation
Movement and strength assessment
Readiness grading baseline
Readiness scores and performance metrics are non‑medical and are not used to determine medical readiness, duty status, or occupational qualification.
Review of goals and occupational demands
Clear plan of care
We use AI‑assisted documentation tools for medical note generation. These tools process only clinician‑entered information and do not access or use client media without consent.
B. Your Treatment Plan
We tailor your plan to your branch, MOS/AFSC/Rate, and real‑world demands, including:
Rucking and load carriage
Work‑capacity development
Return‑to‑duty preparation
Injury rehab and prevention
Strength and conditioning
Physical therapy and performance services do not determine duty status, return‑to‑duty clearance, or occupational qualification.
C. Your Privacy
We follow strict HIPAA, VA, and OPSEC standards:
No photos or videos without written consent
Clients may not film or photograph other individuals in the facility.
No uniforms, insignia, or identifying markers in media
No disclosure of veteran status
No discussion of unit or operational details
Clients should avoid sharing classified, sensitive, or mission‑related operational information during sessions.
Physical therapy services are HIPAA‑covered. Performance Coaching and other non‑medical services are not subject to HIPAA and are stored separately.
Your identity and service are protected at all times.
5. Adding Performance Coaching or Hybrid Sessions
Many veterans choose to add non‑medical services to accelerate progress.
Performance Coaching includes:
Strength & conditioning
Tactical performance development
Movement optimization
Readiness training
Non‑medical assessments
Hybrid Sessions include:
A medical PT component
A non‑medical performance component
Clear separation for legal and billing purposes
These services are optional and self‑pay.
Hybrid Sessions cannot be billed to the VA and are always self‑pay, even if part of the session includes physical therapy.
