VA‑Covered Physical Therapy Services
Effective Date: 18APR2026
Saber Tactical Performance & Rehab proudly accepts VA Community Care referrals for physical therapy. This page outlines exactly what services are covered under VA authorization.
What the VA Covers
Once authorized, the VA covers:
Physical therapy evaluation
Medical diagnosis
Treatment sessions
Rehabilitation
Progress notes
Communication with VA providers
Required documentation through HSRM
All VA‑related documentation is handled according to HIPAA and VA Community Care requirements.
These services are fully covered — no copays, no out‑of‑pocket costs.
We use AI‑assisted documentation tools for medical note generation. These tools process only clinician‑entered information and do not access or use client media without consent.
VA authorization applies only to Physical Therapy services. Performance Coaching, Hybrid Sessions, and all non‑medical services are not covered.
Readiness scores, performance metrics, and non‑medical assessments are not part of VA‑covered services.
Physical therapy services do not determine duty status, return‑to‑duty clearance, or occupational qualification.
Who Qualifies for VA Community Care?
Eligibility, authorization, and visit limits are determined solely by the VA and may vary based on VA policy.
Veterans may qualify if:
The VA cannot provide timely care
The VA does not offer the needed specialty
Travel distance is excessive
The veteran requests a specific provider
Your VA provider determines eligibility.
How Billing Works
Hybrid Sessions cannot be billed to the VA and are always self‑pay.
All authorized PT visits are billed directly to the VA.
Veterans do not pay at the time of service.
Email and text communication may not be fully secure. By contacting us electronically, you consent to communication through these channels.
