Non‑Medical Services Disclaimer
Effective Date: 18APR2026
Saber Tactical Performance & Rehab (“we,” “our,” “the clinic”) provides both medical physical therapy services and non‑medical performance coaching services. This disclaimer explains the limitations, boundaries, and expectations of all non‑medical services, including Performance Coaching and the non‑medical portions of Hybrid Sessions.
1. Non‑Medical Services Are Not Physical Therapy
Performance Coaching and all non‑medical services provided by Saber Tactical are not physical therapy and do not include:
Medical evaluation
Diagnosis
Treatment
Medical decision‑making
Rehabilitation
Management of medical conditions
Documentation for medical purposes
Non‑medical services are fitness and performance‑based only.
Performance Coaching records are non‑medical and not subject to HIPAA. These records are stored separately from physical therapy medical records.
2. No Medical Advice or Treatment
Non‑medical services do not provide:
Medical advice
Injury diagnosis
Prognosis
Treatment plans
Return‑to‑duty clearance
Recommendations regarding medications or medical imaging
Any medical concerns must be addressed through a licensed healthcare provider.
Non‑medical services do not determine duty status, return‑to‑duty clearance, or occupational qualification.
3. Performance Coaching Scope of Practice
Performance Coaching includes:
Strength training
Conditioning
Tactical performance development
Movement optimization
Load carriage training
Readiness preparation
Non‑medical assessments
These services are designed to improve fitness, performance, and tactical capability — not to treat or manage medical conditions.
Readiness scores and performance metrics are non‑medical and are not used to determine medical readiness, duty status, or occupational qualification.
4. Hybrid Sessions Contain Both Medical and Non‑Medical Components
Hybrid Sessions may include:
A medical portion (physical therapy)
A non‑medical portion (performance coaching)
These components are legally and operationally separate.
The medical portion is documented as physical therapy
The non‑medical portion is documented as performance coaching
Each portion is billed separately according to service type
Hybrid Sessions do not convert non‑medical services into medical care.
Hybrid Sessions cannot be billed to the VA or insurance and are always self‑pay.
AI‑assisted documentation tools are used only for the physical therapy portion of care. These tools process only clinician‑entered information and do not access or use client media without consent.
5. VA Community Care Disclaimer
VA Community Care authorizations apply only to physical therapy services.
Performance Coaching is not covered
Hybrid Sessions are not covered
Non‑medical services remain self‑pay
VA documentation is handled according to VA Community Care and HSRM requirements, which may differ from standard HIPAA procedures.
Veterans may choose to add non‑medical services at their own discretion.
6. Client Responsibility
Clients participating in non‑medical services agree to:
Disclose relevant health information
Clients should avoid sharing classified, sensitive, or mission‑related operational details during sessions.
Follow safety instructions
Clients may not film or photograph other individuals in the facility.
Communicate pain, symptoms, or changes in condition
Seek medical evaluation when recommended
If a medical issue arises during a non‑medical session, the session may be paused or transitioned into a physical therapy appointment when appropriate.
7. No Guarantee of Results
Performance outcomes vary based on individual factors including:
Training history
Injury history
Lifestyle
Adherence
Effort
Recovery habits
No specific performance or readiness results are guaranteed.
8. No Emergency Services
Non‑medical services do not include emergency medical care.
If you experience a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.
